Managing PCOS: Here’s How to Do It Right

Although exercise can be a very useful tool in managing PCOS, it is not a cure. As a personal trainer who helps manage PCOS , I can say one thing (it might hurt you, but here’s the truth bomb!)- PCOS isn't something you can sweat away. Symptoms can be aggravated by excessive exercise or an imbalanced exercise program.  Many of my readers are frustrated and confused because they work hard every day and do not see results.  In order to move the numbers on the scale and restore their health, they want to know what else they can do.  However, their workout programs make training for an Olympic event look effortless!   Exercise is a temporary form of physical stress that your body responds to by using stored fat for energy, improving insulin sensitivity, and reducing stress hormones.  The body needs rest and nutrition to recover from these bouts of stress if you want to reap these benefits.
